Our verdict
We like Phemex as a solid mid-tier exchange that punches above its weight in trading features, offering a clean interface with TradingView integration, a broad range of contract types, and a genuinely useful social layer in Phemex Pulse that sets it apart from more vanilla competitors. The no-KYC approach, PT token discounts, and free P2P trading with multiple payment methods add real everyday value for active traders.

Phemex is a well-known cryptocurrency exchange and trading platform that allows users to trade on spot and futures. It also provides options for copy trading and social trading, a fairly new concept within the Web3 space.
With its own exchange token, the Phemex Token (PT), Phemex rewards users through its Phemex Pulse competition. The platform has garnered significant attention, with daily spot trading volume of $576,740,283.

In addition to its trading capabilities, Phemex offers a unique social finance platform called Phemex Pulse. Here, you can join communities, engage with fellow traders, and learn more about your favorite coins. Stay updated with the latest news and market sentiments, enhancing your trading experience.
Phemex offers launch campaigns whose accepted assets, subscription rules and account eligibility vary by project. Holding PT alone does not guarantee access or rewards. Phemex Products and Services
While spot and futures trading are the key products Phemex offers, there are more features to be aware of.
Copy Trading
Phemex’s Copy Trading platform enables users to replicate the strategies and trades of experienced traders, helping newcomers participate in profitable (or potentially loss-bearing) trades with ease. New traders can view the profiles of copy traders, assess their trading style and strategies, and decide if they want to mirror their trades. This feature allows users with little to no experience to leverage the expertise of seasoned traders, with top traders receiving a 12% profit share.

Trading Bots
Phemex offers four types of automated trading bots:
- Futures Grid
- Futures Martingale
- Spot Grid
- Signal Trading

The Phemex bot trading platform enables 24/7 automated trading with customizable parameters, making it ideal for hands-free trading. These bots are completely free for all users. Phemex also features a Bot Marketplace, where users can share or copy trading bots, including spot grid trading and contract grid trading strategies, with just one click, replicating the setups of top-performing traders.
Phemex Pulse – SocialFi
Phemex Pulse, Phemex’s SocialFi platform, introduces a decentralized social network where users can monetize their interactions, content creation, and online presence. Leveraging blockchain technology, Phemex Pulse prioritizes data privacy and user control, providing a secure environment that reduces reliance on central authorities. With built-in community governance, users can influence platform development and policies, fostering a transparent and engaged community.

Phemex Mobile App
Phemex also has separate mobile applications for both iOS and Android users. So, you can access your account and continue trading on the go from anywhere, anytime. Although their website is well-developed and offers a better trading experience, the mobile application will increase the usability, accessibility, and versatility of the platform.

The application has around 4.5 ratings on Apple App Store and requires an iOS version 12.0 or newer. You can also download the application on your Mac, where the required macOS version is 11.0 and with M1 Chip. The app’s file size is also under 100 MB.
On Google Play Store, it has a rating of 4.6 stars, with over 1 million downloads. However, the app size is much smaller at only 34 MBs compared to its iOS counterpart. Anyways, you will need Android Lollipop (5.0) or higher for downloading.
P2P Trading
Phemex offers P2P trading within its platform, allowing you to buy or sell crypto directly to or from others. This feature is particularly useful in countries where direct purchases using bank transfers or third-party payment methods are not available. With P2P trading, you have access to local payment methods, and with more than 20 options available, it makes entering the crypto markets a versatile and flexible experience for everyone.
Phemex Launchpad and Launchpool
Phemex advertises Launchpad and Launchpool participation among its ecosystem benefits. Read each active campaign’s accepted assets, eligibility, commitment and distribution rules rather than assuming that every pool is PT-only. Some early-access features on the PT benefits page remain labelled “Coming Soon.”

Phemex Lending Protocol
The Phemex Lending Protocol allows you to borrow cryptocurrency quickly and easily, using your existing crypto assets as collateral. With this protocol, you can secure a loan instantly with just one click, benefiting from low rates and no hidden fees. You have the flexibility to repay at any time and retain your crypto holdings, as there’s no need to sell your assets. Additionally, the protocol offers a high Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratio, giving you access to more funds based on the value of your collateral.

Phemex Academy
With Phemex Academy, you can explore crypto and blockchain concepts through a straightforward, free resource. Get insights into daily trends, learn more learn about the metaverse and DeFi, and improve your technical analysis skills, all designed to help you understand the essentials of blockchain and the latest in the crypto world.
Phemex Savings
Phemex Savings provides an easy way to earn passive income on your idle crypto assets. Currently, the platform supports 19 major cryptocurrencies, covering most of the mainstream tokens like BTC, ETH, and USDT. The process is simple; just deposit, and start earning. However, one limitation is that the range of supported assets and yield options is still relatively narrow compared to other exchanges offering flexible or tiered savings models.

Phemex Onchain Trading
Onchain trading is one of the hottest trends in 2026, and Phemex has joined in by offering onchain access directly within its centralized platform. This gives you the convenience of CEX trading with the added transparency and security benefits of blockchain. You can trade a wider variety of assets, including xStocks (tokenized stock assets), as well as onchain derivatives. It all works within the same familiar interface, though with one catch, leverage is limited to just 3x on these onchain markets.

Phemex On/Off Ramp Services
For KYC-compliant users, Phemex offers fiat on-ramp and off-ramp services, meaning you can easily deposit or withdraw using bank accounts or cards. However, it’s important to note that this feature is not universally available. There’s a separate list of countries where these services are restricted, even though Phemex itself might be accessible. So before you rely on it for local fiat transfers, make sure to confirm your country’s eligibility directly on their official website.

Demo Trading
Phemex Mock Trading lets users practice contract trading with m-USDT, a virtual balance unrelated to real USDT. Its help centre documents an initial 5,000 m-USDT and a faucet for further claims. Available demo pairs and prices can differ from live markets. Mock Trading is distinct from the separate Phemex Testnet. Official demo details.

Phemex Trading Platform
Phemex offers a range of trading tools that allow users to engage in spot, futures, and margin trading. Each trading option comes with its own characteristics, fees, and interface. Let’s explore them one by one.
Spot Trading
Phemex’s spot trading platform is user-friendly, with $576,740,283 in daily spot trading volume. Here, you can trade 1,027+ cryptocurrencies with a competitive spot fee of 0.1% maker / 0.1% taker for spot trading. To make your trading experience better, Phemex integrates TradingView into its charts, giving you access to essential tools and various strategies such as Heikin Ashi trends and Bollinger Bands. Eligible spot fees paid in PT can receive a 20% discount when PT deduction is enabled and the account has sufficient PT. API trades and some promotional pairs are excluded; see the PT section below.

Margins Trading
With Phemex’s margin trading, you can leverage up to 5x on over 121+ trading pairs while utilizing the same tools available in the spot trading interface. This means you get the benefits of TradingView integration and a user-friendly platform, though it’s important to note that trading with leverage involves increased risks.

Futures Trading
For those who thrive on taking risks, Phemex’s futures trading platform is a great fit. Offering leverage up to 100x, you can trade more than 816+ contracts with very low fees of 0.01% for makers and 0.06% for takers. The trading interface is smooth and quick, and eligible USDT-contract fees paid in PT can receive a 10% discount when deduction is enabled and the futures account holds sufficient PT.

Phemex’s futures trading platform offers a variety of order types to suit different trading strategies. In addition to basic limit and market orders, traders can use conditional orders that trigger at specific prices. Iceberg orders help manage large trades discreetly by hiding the full order size. The platform also supports post-only orders, Good Till Canceled (GTC) orders, Immediate or Cancel (IOC) orders, and Fill or Kill (FOK) orders. This range of options allows traders to optimize their strategies and manage risks effectively.
Maximum leverage is 100× (spot margin up to 5×).
Phemex Trading Fees
Trading Fees
Phemex offers competitive trading fees across its platform, with a 0.1% maker / 0.1% taker fee for spot trading and a 0.01% maker fee and 0.06% taker fee for futures trading. PT fee deduction can reduce eligible spot fees by 20% and eligible USDT-contract fees by 10%. It requires an enabled setting and enough PT in the relevant account, and does not apply to API trades, forced liquidation or auto-deleveraging. Check the current fee conditions and the PT section.
Furthermore, Phemex implements a tiered fee structure, where higher VIP levels come with reduced fees. To reach these levels, users must meet specific trading volume requirements and complete verification, allowing frequent traders to enjoy even lower costs.
Deposits
Phemex offers various deposit methods, each with different fees. However, to utilize any deposit method, you must first complete KYC verification.
If you prefer to make deposits without KYC verification, Phemex allows you to deposit cryptocurrencies. For these transactions, Phemex charges no deposit fees; you only need to cover the network fees, which can vary based on the specific cryptocurrency network you choose and the current network congestion. This option provides a more flexible way to fund your account while maintaining your privacy.
Withdrawals
Withdrawal fees on Phemex vary depending on the cryptocurrency you are withdrawing, as each coin has its own fee structure. It’s important to note that there are daily withdrawal limits based on your verification level. If you are unverified, you can withdraw up to $50,000 worth of crypto per day. For KYC Level 1 verification, this limit increases to $1 million, and for KYC Level 2 verification, you can withdraw up to $2 million per day. Learn more about Phemex withdrawal limits, methods, and fees in our Phemex withdrawal guide.

Phemex Token (PT)
Phemex Token (PT) is Phemex’s transferable platform utility token. Its practical uses include paying eligible trading fees and staking for vePT, a separate, non-transferable representation of a locked PT position. PT, vePT and a PT futures contract are different instruments: buying a futures contract does not give you tokens to spend or stake.
PT information and official sources checked September 9, 2026.
PT fee discounts and vePT staking
Phemex’s 2026 platform guide and current fee page show a 20% PT discount for spot trading and 10% for futures. The more specific PT fee-deduction instructions limit the contract benefit to eligible USDT contracts and explain the conditions:
- Enable PT fee deduction and keep enough PT in the relevant account. Holding the token alone does not activate the discount.
- For USDT contracts, transfer PT into the futures account first. If the PT balance cannot cover the deduction, the trade does not receive the PT discount.
- The retail feature excludes API trades, forced liquidation and auto-deleveraging. Eligible deductions can combine with VIP pricing; promotional pairs and account-specific rules may differ.
For staking, Phemex’s PT staking guide describes an Optimism-based smart-contract process requiring a Phemex Soul Pass linked to the user’s Web3 wallet. Documented lock periods range from one month to two years. Locking 1 PT for two years initially produces 1 vePT; vePT then decays as the remaining lock period shortens. It cannot be transferred or traded. Check the actual contract, gas charge, lock expiry and available rewards before committing PT, rather than treating this as flexible savings.
Phemex markets vePT for governance and selected launch benefits, but its token benefits page still labels DAO governance and early-bird access as “Coming Soon.” That conflicts with broader descriptions of those features as available. Treat them as advertised or planned benefits unless the relevant proposal or campaign is actually open to your account. A PT balance does not guarantee launch allocations, voting access or a particular staking APR.
PT tokenomics, burns and buying
Phemex documents a one-billion-PT token allocation across community incentives, ecosystem funding, investors, operations and builders. That allocation is not a claim that one billion PT currently circulates. In its June 6, 2025 burn announcement, Phemex said it would use 30% of revenue from MemeX and Pilot trading for monthly PT buybacks and burns, effective May 1, 2025. The policy concerns those services, not 30% of all exchange revenue. A policy announcement alone does not prove that every later monthly burn occurred; do not infer a current supply figure from it.
The exchange’s PT buying guide identifies spot trading as a way to acquire the token. To buy PT:
- Check account and regional eligibility, complete any required verification and fund the spot account.
- Search for PT in spot trading and select the available PT/USDT market.
- Choose a market or limit order, enter the amount, and check the order value, fee and possible slippage before submitting.
- Confirm the filled order and PT balance. Enable fee deduction separately, or review the staking contract if you intend to lock tokens.
PT can lose more in market value than it saves in trading fees. Exchange custody, a staking lock, smart-contract failure and changing product rules are additional considerations. When transferring tokens, verify the supported deposit or withdrawal network; the Ethereum token description and the Optimism staking process do not make those networks interchangeable.

Phemex Security & Regulation
Phemex’s February 2026 security account describes Fireblocks custody, multi-party computation, a cold/warm/hot wallet model and published reserve information. These are the exchange’s reported controls, not a guarantee against losses. Phemex also acknowledges a January 2025 hot-wallet incident and says it covered affected users from company reserves.

Additionally, the payment mechanism is backed by top-grade SSL certification to avoid digital penetration. On the user’s end, you will experience numerous layers to secure your data. You can enable two-factor authentication and set passwords or application codes on your mobile devices.
Availability and regulatory permissions depend on the legal entity, service and country. A registration or a payment partner’s licence is not a blanket assurance that every Phemex service is authorised where you live. Review the applicable terms and the Phemex country restrictions before using the platform.

Phemex Customer Support
Phemex has quick and impressive customer support, where you can get in touch with an agent shortly. The platform doesn’t have a ticket system. Instead, you can click on the chat bubble at the bottom right corner to activate a chatbot. It will ask you some general questions and then transfer you to an agent to answer your queries.

For normal and most common complaints, Phemex has a properly dedicated help center with all the guides and articles about navigating and using the exchange (besides the Phemex Academy). Other contact and support means include email and social media channels like Twitter, LinkedIn, Telegram, etc.
