Methodology: live data, our own score
Every factual number on this site loads from the CryptoWinRate exchange database: fees, asset counts, KYC rules, payment methods, restricted countries, volumes. When the database changes, every page reading it changes with it.
Automated facts, manual judgement
Two kinds of information appear on this site, and they are maintained differently:
- Numbers, facts and terms are automated and updated daily. Fees, asset and market counts, leverage caps, volumes, restricted-country lists, payment methods and bonus terms sync from our database and its sources every day. Nobody retypes them into a page.
- Qualitative claims are tested by our team, manually and periodically. Which features a platform actually offers, how its verification flow behaves, what a bonus takes to claim in practice — our team verifies these by hand and re-checks them on a recurring schedule, not on a daily sync.
The CWR Score
The headline score (out of 10) is our own editorial rating, set and maintained by the CryptoWinRate team in our database. It is not imported from any third party and no formula generates it: it reflects our assessment of the venue across fees, security posture, product depth and track record. Where we have not rated a venue yet, the site shows “n/a” rather than inventing a number.
Fee comparison
An exchange is only ever compared against its own kind — a DEX’s on-chain fee model is not the same quantity as a CEX’s tiered schedule. “Cheaper” and “Average” verdicts compare a venue’s published rate with the median across the centralized exchanges we track, per fee type; “Average” means within half a basis point of that median. Venues that publish 0.00% because their cost lives in a spread are shown as published, but never win a “cheapest” comparison — a spread is not a fee of zero.
Availability
Country availability is binary: a market is either on an exchange’s restricted list or it is supported. We track thousands of restriction entries across every exchange we cover and check them against your selected country on every page.
Affiliate policy
Some “Visit” links pay a commission. Commercial terms never touch the database. The same numbers render whether or not a deal exists.
