About buying crypto with Volet

Volet is a multi-currency electronic wallet. It holds balances in several fiat currencies and in crypto, issues prepaid cards against them, and can send and receive money between accounts on its own network instantly and at no cost. It’s the same product formerly known as Advcash, rebranded to Volet.com. If a venue lists Advcash, it’s describing the same wallet.

Paying a crypto exchange with Volet means you log in to the wallet from the deposit screen and approve the transfer. You need a registered Volet account in your own name, and you don’t hand your bank or card details to the exchange. The payment is a push from your wallet, so you stay in control of what leaves it.

Only a limited set of exchanges accept Volet. The list at the top of this page shows the ones that do.

Volet history

Volet is operated by Advanced Cash Limited. It launched in 2014 as ADVcash, incorporated in Belize and licensed by the Belize Financial Services Commission. In its early years it ran as an e-wallet and international money transfer service and grew to serve users across more than 150 countries.

On 26 March 2024 it rebranded as Volet.com, migrating all accounts and data automatically to the new domain. At the same time the company incorporated a Canadian entity to widen its regulatory footprint, moved to new jurisdictions and licences, and added features including a built-in crypto swap tool, native crypto wallets, and local bank transfer support across more than 20 currencies. If you already hold an Advcash account, it is a Volet account, with nothing to migrate.

Volet and crypto

Volet runs its own crypto service. You can buy, sell, hold, swap, send, and receive crypto directly within a Volet account. Supported assets include BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, BNB, TON, TRX, LTC, AVAX, POL, USDT and USDC, across a range of networks. You can buy crypto with your fiat balance or a linked card, send it to any external wallet address, or store it inside Volet.

Because of this, Volet can also work as a staging account: fiat in, convert inside the wallet, then send crypto on. Conversions are described as instant, with the exchange rate fixed for 15 minutes at the time of the transaction. Nothing in Volet’s terms blocks you from funding a crypto exchange with it.

How to buy crypto with Volet

  1. Pick an exchange. Choose a venue from the list at the top of this page that accepts Volet.
  2. Verify both accounts. Open and verify a Volet account in your own name, then complete the exchange’s identity checks.
  3. Fund your wallet. Top up Volet by bank transfer, card, or another supported method before you start.
  4. Choose Volet at deposit. On the deposit or buy screen, select Volet, or Advcash if the venue still uses the old name.
  5. Pay from your own account. Log in to Volet and approve the transfer, making sure the name matches your exchange account.
  6. Buy the crypto. Once the balance lands, place your order.

Can you buy crypto instantly with Volet?

Transfers inside the Volet network are instant, so once you approve the payment the balance normally appears on the exchange within minutes. A few things can slow it down. The first time you pay a new venue, extra identity checks may hold the funds for a while. If you still need to fund the wallet from a bank, that leg follows banking hours and can land the next working day, especially over a weekend. Once a crypto transfer confirms on-chain, it’s final and can’t be reversed.

Fees when buying crypto with Volet

Volet states free instant transfers between accounts on its own network for personal users, so the deposit into the exchange is usually the cheap part. The cost sits at the edges: funding the wallet by card or bank carries its own fee, and withdrawing later carries another. For crypto sent on a blockchain, Volet charges its transaction fee plus the network fee. The provider doesn’t publish fixed percentages for these. An exchange may also add a deposit fee or widen the price on an instant buy. Check the total shown on screen before you confirm.

Volet and Advcash are the same wallet

Advcash rebranded to Volet.com, and the underlying account, balances and network did not change. Exchanges updated their deposit screens at different times, so across the market you’ll find the same wallet listed under both names, sometimes at the same venue.

If you already hold an Advcash account, it’s a Volet account. There’s nothing to migrate and no second wallet to open.

When comparing venues, treat a listing for either name as support for the same rail, and check the current deposit screen rather than the help documentation, which is where stale names tend to survive.

How to choose an exchange that accepts Volet

Compare the total cost each venue shows before you confirm, not just the deposit line. Check how long account verification takes, and whether the exchange pays back out to Volet, since accepting a deposit doesn’t mean it supports withdrawals the same way. Look at which coins you can buy and the currency it charges in, so you can avoid an in-wallet conversion. Weigh each venue’s security record too. The list at the top of this page shows the exchanges that accept Volet.

Volet pros and cons

What we like

  • Transfers within the Volet network are instant and generally free.
  • Holds several fiat currencies and crypto in one account.
  • No bank or card details are handed to the exchange.
  • You approve each payment from your own wallet, so nothing leaves without you.

What holds it back

  • Funding the wallet and withdrawing from it each carry their own fees.
  • The Advcash rebrand means the same wallet appears under two names across venues.
  • Accepted by a limited number of exchanges.
  • Conversion inside the wallet may carry a wider spread than the exchange’s own.
Questions

Volet FAQ

Yes. The name on the Volet account must match the exchange account. A payment from someone else’s wallet will usually be rejected or held.

Usually minutes. Transfers inside the Volet network are effectively instant, though first-time checks or funding the wallet from a bank can add delay.

Sometimes. Check the venue’s withdrawal methods before you fund, since deposit support does not imply payout support.

Compare the spreads. The wallet’s conversion is convenient but not automatically cheaper than the exchange’s market.

The funds stay in your Volet wallet rather than vanishing. Confirm the currency matches a balance you hold and that the name lines up, then try again.

Use another method that exchange accepts, or pick a venue from the list at the top of this page that does take Volet.
