Crypto.com Overview
Choosing the right crypto exchange can be tricky, and with Bitcoin hitting new all-time highs, exchanges are working overtime to attract new users through campaigns and promotions. Recently, Crypto.com has been in the spotlight as Trump Media Group and Crypto.com announced America’s $6.42B CRO treasury, a move that adds weight to a platform that already carries the built-in authority of literally having “crypto” in its name.
But the real question is: are its features and fees worth your time? This Crypto.com review breaks down the exchange, its trading tiers, cards, and ecosystem, so you can decide whether Crypto.com fits your needs or if you should explore other alternatives.
Crypto.com is a fully regulated global crypto platform founded in 2016 by Kris Marszalek and headquartered in Singapore. Over the years, it has grown to serve more than 90 million users across 90 countries, positioning itself as one of the most recognized names in retail crypto trading. The platform offers access to over 418 spot cryptocurrencies and 409 futures contracts, giving users a broad range of trading options within a single ecosystem.
Crypto.com operates with a strong compliance framework. KYC verification is mandatory for all users, and the exchange holds multiple regulatory licenses, including MiCA and MiFID approvals for operating across Europe. Its safety index remains among the highest in the industry, thanks to insured custody solutions and a consistent focus on regulatory transparency.

While its user interface is often praised for simplicity and accessibility, the platform leans more toward beginners and long-term investors than professional traders. Spot trading fees stand at 0.25% for maker and 0.5% for taker orders, and futures fees at 0.02% and 0.04%, with leverage capped at 50x; a conservative approach prioritizing stability over aggressive risk-taking.
Crypto.com’s recent collaboration with Trump Media in 2025 further raised its visibility, highlighting its growing institutional reach and ambition to integrate crypto with mainstream media and payments. Coupled with steady trading activity of $277,646,383 in daily spot volume, the platform reflects a blend of regulatory credibility, broad accessibility, and consistent innovation aimed at bringing cryptocurrency into everyday finance.

Crypto.com Trading Platform
Crypto.com offers both spot and futures trading, equipped with all the essential tools traders expect; TradingView charts, live order books with around a 2% spread, indicators, and basic token information displayed at the top. The interface can be customized easily for those who prefer a personalized layout, or kept simple by dragging and dropping different sections. It’s intuitive and user-friendly, which makes it a solid option for beginners.

When it comes to order types, Crypto.com supports the basics; Limit and Market orders, along with more advanced options like OCO (One Cancels the Other), Stop Loss, and Take Profit orders. Traders can also set execution parameters such as Post Only, FOK (Fill or Kill), GTC (Good Till Cancelled), or IOC (Immediate or Cancel).

Crypto.com Trading Fees
Let’s take a look at one of the most important aspects of any exchange: the fees. Crypto.com maintains a transparent fee structure, making it easier for traders to estimate their costs.
Trading Fees
Crypto.com follows a tiered subscription model for its trading fees. The standard spot trading fees start at 0.25% for makers and 0.5% for takers, while futures trading fees are lower at 0.02% maker and 0.04% taker.
However, users can significantly reduce these fees through the Crypto.com Plus subscription, available for US$4.99 per month. Subscribers enjoy zero spot trading fees, and traders holding over 100,000 CRO tokens can receive up to 15% off on derivatives trading fees.
Deposits and Withdrawals Fees
Crypto.com does not charge any fees on deposits made by retail users. However, the minimum deposit amount is set at US$1,000. It’s important to double-check payment details before sending funds, as an administration fee of US$40 or €25 is applied for any returned or incorrect USD/EUR deposit.
For withdrawals, fees depend on the chosen cryptocurrency network, with exact costs shown at the time of transfer to ensure transparency.

Crypto.com Features
Mobile App
The Crypto.com mobile app is available on both Android and iOS and holds an impressive 4.5-star rating across app stores. It provides a complete trading experience on the go, offering all the features available on the web version, including spot, futures, and perpetual trading. Users can manage portfolios, execute trades, deposit or withdraw funds, and even access the Web3 wallet, all through a clean and intuitive interface designed for seamless mobile trading.

Crypto.com Level Up Program
Crypto.com offers a subscription-based model called the Level Up Program, which provides users with added benefits for both trading and Visa card usage. The program includes multiple tiers; Basic, Plus, Pro, and Private, each offering different perks depending on whether you choose to subscribe monthly or stake CRO tokens.
Subscribers can access benefits such as zero trading fees, cashback rewards on card spending, and interest on stablecoin holdings, with higher tiers offering greater returns and perks. The Plus plan reportedly starts at around $5 per month, while Pro costs about $30, and the Private tier remains exclusive to CRO stakers.

This structure gives users flexibility; they can either pay monthly or stake tokens for similar rewards. It’s a model that resembles what we’ve seen with the Coinbase One subscription, offering a similar mix of trading and card-related privileges. You can learn more about Coinbase’s subscription service in our full Coinbase review.
Trading Bots
Crypto.com supports automated trading bots for both spot and perpetual markets. Users can select from DCA, Grid, TWAP, and Arbitrage strategies. These bots are pre-built and tested, but traders also have the option to create manual Grid bots by setting their own parameters to match specific trading preferences.

Pay
The Crypto.com Pay feature lets users complete transactions using cryptocurrencies. It supports payments at participating brands and offers up to 10% rewards on eligible purchases. Users can also transfer funds between Crypto.com accounts at no cost. The service aims to make crypto-based payments more practical and accessible for everyday use.
Staking
Crypto.com provides on-chain staking for more than 33 cryptocurrencies, with estimated returns of up to 19.07% annually, depending on the asset. The platform also offers liquid staking for ETH, where users receive CDCETH; a token that remains tradeable while earning rewards. Staking can be managed directly from the app for easier portfolio control.

Earn
Through the Crypto Earn program, users can deposit 21+ cryptocurrencies and stablecoins to earn yield based on asset type and term length. The rates vary across tokens, and Private Members can receive an additional 2% per year. It functions as a straightforward way to generate returns on idle assets held in the app.

Crypto.com Cards
Crypto.com Cards allow users to spend their crypto holdings anywhere Visa is supported. The cards convert crypto to fiat automatically at the point of payment. Different card tiers provide varying levels of benefits, including spending limits and potential cashback, depending on the user’s account level and staking activity.

Cronos (CRO)
Cronos (CRO) connects Crypto.com’s account benefits with the wider Cronos blockchain ecosystem. For exchange users, the relevant programme is CRO Rewards: qualifying balances can unlock trading-fee benefits and improved margin rates. The Exchange wallet, the Crypto.com App and an external wallet are separate places to hold CRO, and their balances do not automatically qualify for the same products.
On the Exchange, the documented CRO Lockup lasts 180 days. Adding more CRO restarts the lock period, while withdrawing the locked allocation requires the period to end. Soft Lockup is a separate option with its own reward rules. CRO placed into Crypto Earn in the App does not count towards the Exchange’s CRO Rewards allocation.
In the App, CRO can instead be committed to Level Up benefits, including eligible card and account perks. New locked stakes use a 365-day commitment, with staking or lockup availability depending on jurisdiction. These terms differ from the Exchange’s 180-day programme. Staking estimates and reward rates can change, so the selected product, lock duration and withdrawal conditions matter as much as the amount of CRO held.

Crypto.com Security & Regulation
Security is one of Crypto.com’s strongest areas. The exchange operates under a Zero Trust and Defence-in-Depth framework, meaning every access point, user, and internal system must be verified before trust is granted. It applies mandatory two-factor authentication (2FA) on both user accounts and internal operations, while the principle of least privilege restricts access to funds stored in both hot and cold wallets.
User assets are primarily stored in cold wallets through Ledger Vault’s custody infrastructure, with a small portion kept in hot wallets to support withdrawals and day-to-day transactions. The exchange maintains a 1:1 asset backing, verifiable through its Proof of Reserves.

Additional protections include multi-factor authentication (MFA), covering password, biometric, email, phone, and authenticator verification, along with email confirmation for new withdrawal addresses. Independent security audits are conducted by external firms such as Kudelski Security.
Crypto.com holds multiple security certifications, including ISO 22301:2019, ISO/IEC 27701:2019, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, PCI DSS v4.0 Level 1, and SOC 2 Type II. After the 2022 incident, the exchange introduced an Account Protection Program that enforces a 24-hour delay for first-time withdrawals to new addresses.
According to CER.live, Crypto.com currently holds an AAA security rating, reflecting its adherence to standard security and operational controls.
