BYDFi Review 2026 – Features, Fees & More

Warning BYDFi recently made a system upgrade closely mirroring another crypto exchange, MEXC. It is likely they are ran by the same operator. The upgrade removed some crucial features such as the API. Additionally, many old URLs are now returning a 404 Error hinting at either bulk deletion of old content or poor redirect management.

Our verdict

BYDFi is worth a look for three reasons only: you can trade without KYC, it lists a long tail of altcoins, and it offers very high leverage, temporarily up to 500x on BTC and ETH futures since 30 September 2026 (200x before). Beyond that we see little to recommend. Spot fees are flat with no discounts, spot liquidity is thin, and withdrawals are in crypto only. A system upgrade in September 2026 removed the trading API and the Proof of Reserves page, and BYDFi names no regulator that supervises it. Use it to trade, not to store funds.

Key takeaways
  • BYDFi launched in 2019 as BitYard and is headquartered in Singapore. Its website names no regulator that supervises it.
  • It has three selling points: trading without KYC, 527+ spot coins including many small altcoins, and futures leverage of up to 500x.
  • The top leverage is new and temporary. On 30 September 2026 BYDFi raised it from 200x to 500x, on BTC and ETH futures only and, in its own words, for a limited time.
  • Without KYC you can withdraw up to $50,000 a day. Withdrawals are in crypto only.
  • Spot fees are a flat 0.1% maker / 0.1% taker with no volume discounts. Futures cost 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker.
  • A system upgrade in September 2026 removed the trading API and the Proof of Reserves page, and replaced every deposit address.
  • Spot liquidity is thin, so larger orders move the price against you.
  • We would use BYDFi to trade and would not store funds on it.

BYDFi Overview

BYDFi is an offshore crypto exchange that started in 2019 under the name BitYard. People choose it for three reasons. You can trade without an identity check. It lists 527+ spot coins, many of them small altcoins that the large exchanges do not carry. And its futures go up to 500x leverage. If none of the three matters to you, this review will not give you another reason to open an account.

The leverage figure needs context. Until 30 September 2026 the cap was 200x. BYDFi then raised it to 500x on BTC and ETH futures only, and called the change temporary. At 500x a price move of about 0.2% against you is enough to lose the whole margin. Positions are liquidated here as on every futures exchange, and market orders slip on thin order books.

The rest of the picture is weaker. BYDFi names no regulator that supervises it. In September 2026 it rebuilt its platform and, with that upgrade, dropped its trading API and its Proof of Reserves page. Spot order books are thin, fees come without discounts, and money leaves the exchange in crypto only. Our view is simple: BYDFi is a place to trade with money you can afford to lose. It is not a place to keep a balance.

BYDFi Pros & Cons

What we like

  • No KYC needed to trade or withdraw, up to $50,000 a day
  • 527+ spot coins, including many small altcoins
  • Up to 500x leverage on BTC and ETH futures (200x before 30 September 2026)

What holds it back

  • Names no regulator that supervises it
  • Removed Proof of Reserves in September 2026
  • Removed API in September 2026
  • Spot market liquidity is weak
  • Withdrawals in crypto only, no fiat payout
  • No tiered fee discounts or token-based rewards

BYDFi Sign-up and KYC

You open an account with an email address and a password. BYDFi does not ask for identity documents. An unverified account can deposit crypto, trade spot and futures, and withdraw up to $50,000 a day.

Verification raises the daily limit to $500,000, and the next level raises it to $800,000.

Does BYDFi Require KYC?

No. You can register, deposit crypto, trade and withdraw without verifying your identity. This is the main reason people use BYDFi, and it comes with three limits.

First, buying crypto with a card or a bank transfer requires an identity check, either by the payment provider or by BYDFi.

Second, no KYC does not mean BYDFi is open to everyone. Its terms prohibit residents of the United States, Singapore, Hong Kong and a number of other countries. See the full list of BYDFi restricted countries.

Third, the terms allow BYDFi to suspend or restrict an account without giving a reason. Trading without KYC is the default setting. It is not a promise.

BYDFi Products and Services

BYDFi’s product list got shorter in September 2026. What remains is spot trading, perpetual futures, a convert tool, copy trading, two kinds of trading bot, an Earn product for futures balances and a demo mode.

BYDFi Trading

BYDFi offers spot markets and perpetual futures margined in USDT, in USDC or in the coin itself. There is no spot margin trading. Charts come from TradingView, and the order types cover limit, market and stop orders. The two markets are covered in detail under BYDFi Trading Platform below.

Mobile App

The app carries the same markets as the website. After the September 2026 upgrade, only version 4.0.1 or later can log in. Update the app before you depend on it in a fast market.

BYDFi Mobile App

Copy Trading

Copy trading lets you mirror futures traders. BYDFi ranks them by return, profit and follower count, and it opens their trades in your account automatically. The lead trader takes a share of your profits.

Treat the leaderboard with caution. It shows past returns, and lead traders often reach those returns with high leverage. When a copied trade loses, the loss is yours in full.

BYDFi Copy Trading

Trading Bots

BYDFi has built-in bots: grid bots for spot and futures and a DCA bot for spot. They run around the clock with the settings you give them, and they pay the normal trading fees. A grid bot on a leveraged market can be liquidated like any other position.

There is no API since the September 2026 upgrade. You cannot connect your own bot or a third-party tool, so the built-in bots are all you get.

BYDFi Trading Bots

Buying Crypto with Fiat

You can buy crypto with a card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or a bank transfer. The purchase runs through third-party providers such as Transak, Banxa, Alchemy Pay, Coinify and Mercuryo. The provider sets the price and the fee, and it runs its own identity check. BYDFi advertises bank transfers with zero fees, so compare the quoted rate with the market price before you pay.

There is no way back into fiat. BYDFi does not pay out to a bank account or a card.

What the September 2026 Upgrade Changed

BYDFi suspended its services for a system upgrade in September 2026 and announced the end of it on 21 September. The new platform closely resembles the one MEXC runs. For users, several things changed:

  • No API. The trading API is gone.
  • No Proof of Reserves. The page that showed reserve ratios is gone. The site now only states that an “800 BTC Reserve Fund” exists.
  • Fewer products. P2P trading, the BYDFi Card and the MoonX on-chain trading are no longer in the site’s menus. We checked on 7 October 2026.
  • New deposit addresses. Every deposit address was replaced. BYDFi warns that a deposit sent to an old address can be delayed or lost.
  • No old history. Deposits, withdrawals and trades from before the upgrade are not shown in the new account. You have to ask support for them.

Demo Trading

BYDFi runs a demo mode for perpetual futures on a separate demo site. The demo balance is separate from real assets. Use the pairs and features actually shown in demo mode rather than assuming the live futures catalogue, leverage limits or account functions all apply. BYDFi demo site.

BYDFi Demo Tradng
How to demo trade on BYDFi
  1. Log in and open the futures screen. In the BYDFi app, open the perpetual-contract trading screen and select its Demo Trade option.
  2. Check demo mode and funds. Confirm the demo label and simulated balance before continuing. Use the demo-fund control if funds are available to claim.
  3. Choose a simulated contract. Select an available demo pair. Set its margin and leverage options, then choose the order type.
  4. Enter and confirm the order. Enter the quantity and a price if required. Review the order and choose the long or short direction.
  5. Manage the demo position. Use the positions and orders panels to monitor the trade, close the required quantity or cancel an unfilled order. Review the demo history afterwards.

BYDFi Supported Cryptocurrencies

The long coin list is the best argument for BYDFi’s spot market. It lists small and new tokens quickly. The price of that is thin order books on exactly those pairs, so check the spread before you send a market order. BYDFi also publishes risk warnings for weak tokens and removes markets from time to time. A coin you buy here can lose its market.

BYDFi lists 527 spot assets and 228 futures markets.

BYDFi Trading Platform

BYDFi serves two kinds of trader: the one who wants an altcoin that is listed nowhere else, and the one who wants more leverage than a regulated exchange will give. Here is what each of them gets.

Spot Trading

The spot market lists 527+ cryptocurrencies. Fees are 0.1% for makers and 0.1% for takers. Charts come from TradingView. Order types include limit, market, stop limit, stop market and OCO.

The weak point is liquidity. Order books on most pairs are much thinner than on the leading exchanges. A market order of any size moves the price, and a stop order can fill well away from its trigger. Use limit orders.

BYDFi Spot Trading interface

Futures Trading

BYDFi lists 228+ perpetual contracts with leverage of up to 500x. Fees are 0.02% for makers and 0.06% for takers.

The maximum applies to BTC and ETH futures only. BYDFi introduced it on 30 September 2026 as a temporary offer. Before that the cap was 200x. Other contracts keep lower caps, and the leverage you can actually select also depends on the size of your position.

High leverage does not change how futures work. BYDFi runs a liquidation engine like every other futures exchange. When it finished its upgrade on 21 September 2026, it told users that the engine had been restarted and that they should check their margin immediately. At 500x a move of about 0.2% against you ends the trade. Funding payments and fees shorten that distance further.

Slippage exists as well. Market and stop orders fill at the best available price. On a thin book, or in a fast market, that price can be far from the one you saw.

BYDFi Derivatives Trading interface

Order options include GTC, IOC and FOK as well as stop limit and stop market orders. Our BYDFi futures guide explains how to place a trade. If you are new to futures, start in the demo mode and compare other leverage trading exchanges before you use real money.

Read our BYDFi demo trading guide to get started.

Maximum leverage is 500×.

BYDFI Fees

BYDFi’s fees are easy to understand and not especially low.

BYDFi Trading Fees

Spot trading costs 0.1% for makers and 0.1% for takers. BYDFi publishes the rates on its fee page. There are no volume tiers and there is no exchange token that lowers the rate. The larger exchanges start at a similar headline rate and then cut it for active traders. On BYDFi an active spot trader keeps paying the full rate.

Futures cost 0.02% for makers and 0.06% for takers. The fee is charged when you open a position and again when you close it, and it is calculated on the full position size, not on your margin. With high leverage that matters. At 500x your margin is 0.2% of the position. With a taker fee of 0.06%, which is the rate in October 2026, opening and closing costs 0.12% of the position. That is 60% of the margin.

Deposits and Withdrawal Fees

Crypto deposits are free. For a crypto withdrawal you pay a fixed network fee per coin, which BYDFi shows on the withdrawal page before you confirm. For a purchase with a card or a bank transfer, the payment provider sets the fee and the exchange rate and shows both at checkout.

BYDFi advertises up to $8,100 in rewards for new users. Most of that amount is tied to deposit and trading-volume tasks, and bonus credit of this kind typically serves as margin and cannot be withdrawn. Read the conditions of each task before you chase it. Our BYDFi bonus page lists what is on offer.

BYDFi Security & Regulation

Account security is standard. You can set up two-factor authentication, a withdrawal address whitelist and a separate withdrawal password. These protect your login. They say nothing about what happens to the coins once they are on the exchange.

On custody you have to take BYDFi’s word. It says it keeps customer funds in cold storage, and its homepage points to an “800 BTC Reserve Fund” with “over 100% coverage”. Until September 2026 it published a Proof of Reserves page. That page is gone since the upgrade, so neither claim can be checked today. No hack of BYDFi is publicly known.

On regulation there is little to report. BYDFi’s website calls the exchange “Globally Certified” and names no regulator. It is not authorized under MiCA in the European Union. BYDFi has cited money services business registrations in the past. A registration of that kind is an anti-money-laundering record. It is not a license to offer leveraged derivatives, and it gives customers no protection if the exchange fails.

The terms of use are worth reading. They name BYDFi BLOCKCHAIN LTD as the operator. They are governed by the law of the US state of Colorado and send disputes to binding arbitration, and they list the United States among the prohibited countries. They also allow BYDFi to block or cancel a transaction and to suspend or close an account without notice and without giving a reason, and to suspend withdrawals while it resolves an incident on the platform.

In practice this means that nobody stands behind your balance. If BYDFi holds a withdrawal or shuts down, there is no deposit protection and no regulator to complain to. Keep on the exchange only what you are trading with, and withdraw the rest. You can also delete your account when you are done.

Proof of reservesNo

Anti-phishing passphraseNo
No security incident on record We track exchange hacks in our database, nothing is on file for BYDFi. A clean record can change at any time; past security performance never guarantees future safety.
Risk warning Even a high rating doesn’t remove market or custody risk. Cryptoassets are volatile and largely unregulated, and deposit protection schemes don’t apply.

BYDFi Customer Support

BYDFi offers live chat around the clock and email support at cs@bydfi.com.

The hard cases are disputes. User reviews on Trustpilot include complaints about positions that were liquidated during site outages, slow order execution and withdrawals that were held. In its public replies BYDFi asks the user to contact support by chat or email. With no regulator and no ombudsman behind the exchange, support is the last stop for a complaint.

One change from the September 2026 upgrade affects support directly. Account history from before the upgrade is no longer shown in your account, so you need support to get old records. Export what you need while you can still see it.

BYDFi Deposit Methods

There are two ways to fund a BYDFi account. You can send crypto from another wallet or exchange, which BYDFi does not charge for. Or you can buy crypto with a card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or a bank transfer through a third-party payment provider.

Every deposit address changed in the September 2026 upgrade. Do not reuse an address you saved before 21 September 2026. Open the deposit page and copy the current address each time. BYDFi warns that a deposit sent to an old address can be delayed or lost.

Bottom Line

BYDFi has three things going for it: no KYC, a long list of altcoins and very high leverage. The leverage now reaches 500x on BTC and ETH futures, for as long as the temporary offer lasts. If you want none of the three, there is no reason to choose BYDFi over a larger exchange.

Everything else is average or worse. Fees are flat and come without discounts. Spot liquidity is thin. Money leaves in crypto only. Since September 2026 there is no API and no Proof of Reserves, and BYDFi names no regulator that supervises it. Leverage this high mostly produces liquidations.

If you use BYDFi, use it for the trade and withdraw afterwards. If you want an exchange that you can also trust with a balance, look at the alternatives above.

Questions

FAQ

BYDFi is as safe as an offshore exchange without a regulator can be. No hack is publicly known, and accounts have two-factor authentication, a withdrawal whitelist and a withdrawal password. But BYDFi stopped publishing Proof of Reserves in September 2026, and its reserve fund cannot be checked. Do not keep savings there.

The maximum is 500x, on BTC and ETH futures. BYDFi raised it from 200x on 30 September 2026 and describes the higher cap as a limited-time offer. Other contracts have lower caps, and the leverage you can select also depends on the size of your position.

The interface is simple and there is a demo mode. But the products BYDFi promotes most, very high leverage and copy trading, can empty an account in minutes. A beginner who wants to buy and hold crypto is better served by a regulated exchange.

Limits depend on verification status. Non-KYC accounts can withdraw up to $50,000 daily, while completing Level 1 KYC raises the limit to $500,000. Withdrawals are in crypto only.

No. You can deposit crypto, trade and withdraw without verification, within the daily limit. Purchases with a card or a bank transfer go through payment providers that check your identity.

Skipping KYC adds no technical risk to your account. The risk is the exchange itself, with or without verification: BYDFi names no regulator, publishes no Proof of Reserves and can restrict an account without giving a reason. Keep balances small and withdraw often.

No. BYDFi removed its trading API with the system upgrade in September 2026. Automated trading is limited to the built-in bots.

No. BYDFi pays out crypto only. To cash out, send the crypto to an exchange or service that offers fiat withdrawals.

Spot trading costs 0.1% maker / 0.1% taker; futures cost 0.02% maker / 0.06% taker. Figures load live from our exchange database.
