Bybit EU Review

Our verdict
Bybit EU is a spot exchange for European customers that runs under MiCA. Euro funding is easy, and trading bots, savings products and a debit card are included. Futures, options and copy trading are missing and the coin list is much shorter than on Bybit's global exchange, so it suits people who buy and hold more than active traders.

Overview
Bybit EU is the European arm of Bybit, run as a separate company for customers in Europe. It operates under MiCA, the EU rulebook for crypto platforms. Bybit EU is headquartered in Vienna, Austria and was founded in 2025.
This is a spot exchange. You get 108 coins, spot margin of up to 10x, trading bots, savings products and a debit card. Futures, perpetuals and options are missing, which is the biggest difference from the global exchange we cover in our Bybit review.
The platform is young, so the product range is smaller than on the global exchange, and some services depend on your country of residence. Euro funding is the strong point: bank transfers, cards and popular payment apps all work.
That makes Bybit EU a fit for people who want to buy and hold the larger coins with euros, and a poor fit for derivatives traders.
Pros & Cons
These are the points that matter most before you open an account.
What we like
- Licensed under MiCA and supervised by Austria's financial regulator (FMA)
- Part of Bybit, one of the largest crypto exchanges in the world
- Easy euro funding: SEPA, card, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay
- Spot margin trading with up to 10x leverage
- Earn products, trading bots and a debit card
- Two-factor login, fund password and withdrawal address whitelist
What holds it back
- No futures, perpetuals or options
- Spot fees of 0.25% maker and 0.25% taker, higher than on Bybit's global site
- Only 108 coins on spot, far fewer than Bybit's global site
- No copy trading and no P2P trading
- Identity verification is required
- A young platform with a short track record
Sign-up & Verification
Opening an account takes an email address and a password. After that, identity verification is mandatory: you cannot deposit, trade or withdraw before it is done, so keep a government ID at hand.
Bybit EU has three verification levels. Each one raises the amount of fiat money you can move per day:
- Standard: up to €500,000 per day.
- Advanced: up to €600,000 per day.
- Pro: up to €8,000,000 per day.
SEPA transfers do not count toward these limits. Standard is enough for everyday trading. The debit card needs the Advanced level.
Supported Cryptocurrencies
Bybit EU lists 108 coins across 128 spot pairs. Most pairs are priced in USDC, a stablecoin that complies with MiCA. A smaller set trades directly against the euro and a handful against the Polish zloty. USDT is not listed, and USDC takes its place.
The selection covers the large coins and many mid-sized ones, but it is far smaller than what Bybit lists outside Europe. If you need a specific small coin, check the market list before you deposit.

Trading Platform
Trading on Bybit EU means spot trading. Futures trading is not supported. On selected markets you can add spot margin of up to 10x, which lets you borrow against your balance. Margin cuts both ways: a move against you can wipe out your collateral, and borrowed funds carry interest on top of the trading fee.
Two bot types are built in for automated trading. A grid bot places a ladder of buy and sell orders inside a price range you set and earns from the swings in between. A DCA bot buys a fixed amount at regular intervals, which spreads your entry price over time.
A demo mode lets you practise spot trading with virtual funds before you commit real money. Convert swaps one coin for another in a single step, and Launchpool lets you earn newly listed coins by committing coins you already hold.
What you will not find: futures, perpetuals, options, copy trading and P2P trading. Traders who rely on those need a different platform.
Trading Fees
At the base level you pay 0.25% as a maker and 0.25% as a taker on a spot trade. A maker order waits in the order book until someone trades against it. A taker order fills at once against an order that is already there.
There are no futures or options fees because those products are not offered. Margin traders pay interest on borrowed funds in addition to the trading fee. Moving crypto off the platform costs a network fee that depends on the coin.
| Trading type | Maker fee | Taker fee | CEX median (64 tracked) | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spot | 0.25% | 0.25% | 0.1% / 0.1% | Pricier |
The median across the 64 centralized exchanges (CEX) we track, per fee type. Bybit EU is only ever compared with its own kind. "Average" means within half a basis point of that median.
Earn and Card
Earn offers flexible and fixed-term savings on coins you hold. Flexible savings can be taken out at any time, while a fixed term locks your coins for a set period, usually for a better return. What you can use depends on where you live: Earn, for example, is not open to residents of Austria. Bybit EU does not offer staking.
The Bybit Card is a Mastercard debit card. It comes in a virtual and a physical version and lets you spend your balance in shops and online. You need the Advanced verification level to order it.
Security
Account protection on Bybit EU goes beyond a password. You can add an authenticator app for two-factor login, a separate fund password for withdrawals and an anti-phishing code that marks genuine emails from the exchange.
A withdrawal address whitelist limits payouts to addresses you have approved. With the optional lock switched on, a newly added address has to wait 24 hours before it can receive funds.
Set up the authenticator app and the fund password before you make your first deposit. One caveat on the reserves page: it shows the figures of the whole Bybit group, so you cannot check the EU company’s holdings separately.

Customer Support
Support runs around the clock through live chat. For anything that needs documents or a longer answer, you can open a ticket through the help centre.
Deposit Methods
Deposits are where Bybit EU is most convenient. Euro deposits offer the widest choice, from bank transfers to cards and payment apps. iDEAL is for Dutch bank accounts, and BLIK is the route for deposits in Polish zloty. Swedish krona deposits go through Trustly or Swish.
Card and payment app deposits are the quickest way to add a small amount, while a bank transfer suits larger sums. If you already hold crypto elsewhere, you can send it in and skip fiat money altogether.
Withdrawal Methods
Getting money out works through fewer channels than getting it in. Euro withdrawals go out by SEPA bank transfer. Zen.com and PayPal work as well. A card or mobile wallet deposit cannot be turned back into a withdrawal, so money you added that way still leaves through your bank account or PayPal.
Crypto withdrawals go to any external wallet and cost a network fee. Daily fiat limits follow your verification level, from €500,000 at Standard to €8,000,000 at Pro.
Add your bank details and finish verification before you need the money, so your first withdrawal is not held up.
Alternatives
If Bybit EU does not fit, other platforms serve European customers too. OKX EU is the closest match: another global brand with a separate European company, and unlike Bybit EU it offers perpetual-style futures. Bitvavo keeps things simple with euro spot trading and a longer coin list. Kraken adds futures and a long track record. Pick OKX EU or Kraken if you want derivatives, and Bitvavo if you only buy and hold.

Bottom Line
Bybit EU suits people in Europe who want to buy, hold and trade the larger coins with euros on a platform that runs under MiCA. Funding is easy, and bots, savings products and a card are there if you want them.
It is the wrong choice for futures traders and for anyone hunting small coins. If you sign up, the code CWRBONUS unlocks a welcome bonus of up to $5,030. Read the bonus terms first, because the rewards depend on how much you deposit and trade.
