Binance.US Review 2026: Fees, Limits & Verdict

Our verdict

We like Binance.US as a genuinely low-cost spot venue for American traders, offering competitive fees and a capable trading interface that outclasses many domestic alternatives. That said, the platform's fiat rails proved fragile in practice, with USD deposits and withdrawals suspended entirely during its 2023 regulatory fight, and that vulnerability has not fully disappeared. It earns a solid but qualified recommendation for spot-only traders who keep a backup exit in mind, and a clear pass for anyone who needs reliable fiat access as their first priority.

Binance.US Overview

Binance.US is the United States entity of the Binance brand — a separate company running a separate, much smaller product built to operate under American rules.

Launched in 2019, it offers spot trading on 150 assets with some of the lowest fees in the US market, currently led by chief executive Stephen Gregory.

The story since 2023 is regulatory. SEC and CFTC actions against the global brand, a large settlement, and banking partners pulling USD rails at the worst moment reshaped this platform — parts of that have since recovered, but the history belongs in any honest review.

Binance.US Pros & Cons

  • Very low spot fees — a taker rate of 0.01% with free tiers on selected BTC pairs at times.
  • 150 assets across 200 pairs — reasonable breadth for a US-compliant venue.
  • Fee discounts for paying with the BNB token.
  • Staking on selected assets where state rules permit.

Against that:

  • No futures, no margin, no derivatives of any kind — spot only.
  • Not available in every US state; the exact list has shifted with its licensing.
  • The 2023 regulatory fight disrupted USD deposits and withdrawals for an extended period.
  • A fraction of the global Binance product, whatever the shared name suggests.

Pros & cons for Binance.US have not been entered in the database yet.

Binance.US Sign-up & KYC

Registration is email, password, and mandatory identity verification — KYC is required, with an SSN required as on any US venue. Verification is normally quick.

Availability depends on your state. Check that your state is served before you start; the list has changed more than once as licences moved.

Binance.US Security & Regulation

Technical security follows the global brand’s playbook — cold storage for the bulk of assets, 2FA, withdrawal allow-listing, device management — and Binance.US itself has not suffered a public breach.

The regulatory record is the substance. The SEC sued in 2023 alleging unregistered operation, most of that case was dismissed in 2025, and the global entity separately settled with US authorities for $4.3 billion. Through it, Binance.US kept operating but lost banking partners, USD pairs and most of its volume.

Funds are held 1:1 per its attestations, and the venue remains licensed where it operates. But the episode showed how quickly a US crypto exchange’s fiat rails can vanish under pressure — that is the risk to price in, more than theft.

No security incident on record We track exchange hacks in our database, nothing is on file for Binance.US. A clean record can change at any time; past security performance never guarantees future safety.
Risk warning Even a high rating doesn’t remove market or custody risk. Cryptoassets are volatile and largely unregulated, and deposit protection schemes don’t apply.

Binance.US Supported Cryptocurrencies

Binance.US lists 150 assets across 200 pairs. Reported spot volume runs at $6,574,752 over 24 hours.

The catalogue is a filtered subset of the global exchange’s, shaped by US listing caution — and it thinned further when tokens named in the SEC’s actions were delisted. What remains is the majors plus a moderate altcoin tail.

Binance.US lists 150 spot assets. Its native token is BNB.

Binance.US Trading Platform

The interface is the familiar Binance terminal — basic and advanced views, decent charting, a capable mobile app. If you have used any Binance product, nothing here will surprise you.

What is missing defines it: no futures, no margin, no options. OTC exists for size, staking where permitted. This is a spot exchange with a famous name, not the global product with a flag on it.

Binance.US Trading Fees

Spot fees start around 0.01% for takers at the base tier, dropping with volume, with promotional zero-fee windows on selected Bitcoin pairs from time to time. By US standards that is aggressive pricing — the venues Americans default to charge multiples of it.

Paying fees in BNB earns a further discount, the same mechanism the global brand uses.

Watch the fiat rails rather than the trading fee: USD deposit and withdrawal availability and cost have been the platform’s real pain point since 2023, and the practical cost of using the venue lives there.

The median across the 64 centralized exchanges (CEX) we track, per fee type. Binance.US is only ever compared with its own kind. "Average" means within half a basis point of that median.

Binance.US Customer Support

Ticket and chat support with a large help centre. Response quality is adequate for routine issues and slower for account-level problems — the pattern of every large exchange, with the extra caveat that its support capacity shrank along with the company after 2023.

Binance.US Deposit Methods

Crypto deposits are free and unrestricted. USD arrives by ACH or wire when banking rails are operating normally — the qualifier matters, because those rails were suspended entirely during the 2023 dispute and their return has been gradual.

Debit-card purchases exist with the usual card premium.

Binance.US Withdrawal Methods

Crypto withdrawals are per-asset and per-network, available to verified accounts. USD exits by ACH or wire, subject to the same rail-availability caveat as deposits. If a clean fiat exit is critical to you, verify the current USD status before depositing size.

BNB on Binance.US

BNB has a specific fee-payment use on Binance.US. The current Binance.US fee schedule offers a 5% discount on eligible Advanced Trading spot fees when they are paid in BNB. This is the US platform’s programme, with its own rates; the larger BNB discount advertised for Binance’s global exchange should not be applied to a Binance.US account.

To receive the saving, enable BNB fee payment and keep enough available BNB to cover the charge. The tokens used for payment are spent, so holding a small balance once is not enough to fund deductions indefinitely. The benefit reduces the trading fee, rather than the purchase price of the coin. A market with no eligible fee does not create an additional cash reward through the discount.

BNB also has uses beyond Binance.US. The BNB Chain overview describes transaction fees, network staking and applications. Those on-chain functions have separate wallet and network requirements from exchange fee payment. Holding BNB on Binance.US should not be treated as automatic entry into the global exchange’s Launchpool, Earn or other promotional programmes.

Bottom Line

As a cheap US spot venue, Binance.US does its job: 0.01% taker fees, 150 assets, and a terminal better than most American competitors.

The case against is concentration of uncertainty: one brand’s regulatory weather determines whether your USD rails work, and 2023 proved that is not hypothetical.

Sensible for low-cost spot trading with money you can move elsewhere on notice. Choose a differently-shaped venue if fiat reliability is your first requirement.
