Binance and Bybit are both centralized exchanges that cover spot trading, futures, options, staking and copy trading. The main difference sits in what each one leans toward: Binance offers a wider spot menu and higher leverage, while Bybit puts more weight on futures and a much larger set of tokenized stocks.

Who should choose Binance
Binance suits traders who want the broadest choice of coins to buy and hold. Its spot selection of 507 is the larger of the two, and its top leverage of 150x gives active futures traders more room than Bybit. Its futures taker fee of 0.05% is slightly lower too. Binance also runs prediction markets, which Bybit does not. Identity verification is required, and it does not hold a MiCA licence.
Who should choose Bybit
Bybit fits traders focused on derivatives and on stock tokens. It carries more futures coins at 577 and more futures markets at 711, plus a far bigger range of tokenized stocks at 548. Its futures taker fee of 0.055% is a touch higher than Binance, and its leverage tops out at 100x. Identity verification is required. Customers in the EU sign up with Bybit EU, a separate platform that holds a MiCA licence.
Verdict
Pick Binance if you want the widest spot coin selection, higher leverage and prediction markets. Pick Bybit if your focus is futures depth or trading a large range of stock tokens, and note that EU customers use Bybit EU with its MiCA licence.
